About Zoona

  • Since its establishment in 2009, the amount of fund transfer transactions processed on the Zoona platform has exceeded US$1 billion. Zoona plans to achieve the goal of covering ten African countries and 30 million active users by 2020.
  • Zoona is a Zambian payment platform. Its core service is to help people in sub-Saharan Africa transfer and receive payments. The company's business mainly covers the African market and has more than 1.5 million active users.
  • Zoona has the most efficient intermediary network in Africa. Relying on the company's technology platform and financing products, through its franchised intermediaries, Zoona brings transfers and other financial services to communities that have previously been underserved. Zoona currently operates in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique, and plans to continue expanding to other African countries.

1. Deposit or withdraw money

Deposit and withdraw money from the user’s MTN, Airtel, Zamtel, Tenga, AtlasMara, Etumba or SamPay account at any of the 600 Zoona outlets nationwide at no additional charge.

2. International Remittance

Send and receive money from over 150 countries with Mukuru and WorldRemit at any of 700 Zoona outlets nationwide at no extra cost.

3. Z code

Pay ZCODE bills or receive ZCODE payments at any of the 700 Zoona outlets nationwide, or to receive, dial *321*4# and use the self-service menu to pay directly to the user’s MTN, Airtel or Zamtel wallet.

4. Bill Payment

There is no extra charge for paying bills or buying airtime at any of the 700 Zoona outlets nationwide for Zesco, DsTv, Zamtel, Airtel and MTN.

5. Domestic remittance

This service is no longer available

6. Bulk Payment

Make secure, unlimited bulk payments to employees, gig workers, clients, volunteers or beneficiaries through Zesco’s partner Tilt Payments Platform. Providing users with ease of use, choice and control, and competitive pricing.

7. Batch Collection

The platform can be paid by tilting.

8. Stock Payment

Receive payments from distributors or retailers quickly, easily and securely. Zero bank delays, competitive prices and easy reconciliation.
