Gust Pay provides a cashless solution through a single wristband, which integrates various functions such as ticketing, access control, interactive marketing and data analytics.

GustPay is a mobile financial services startup. Their apps include Gust Pay, Gust Finder, and Gust PayPoint, available for iOS and Android platforms. It allows users to pay at merchants that support Gust Pay by using an app in their smartphone or an NFC-enabled wristband. Gust Paypoint is their iPad-based PoS solution that merchants can use to accept GustPay payments. The product is designed for music events and outdoor markets. It was part of the Barclays Accelerator program and won the Best Startup Award at SeedStarsWorld in Cape Town.

Gust Pay Services

Gust Pay’s smart mobile payments allow users to download the app and pay using their name, double tap and swipe. The location services feature allows people to find and navigate to nearby merchants as it offers both a 2D map view and an augmented reality view in the iOS version. Gust Event Smart offers a fully functional cashless event service designed to provide a better user experience by combining NFC wristbands with smartphone apps.

Gust Pay was founded by Jan Pool, Werner van Zyl and Joe Botha and launched in 2012.
