AliExpress semi-hosting has entered a stage of rapid growth . Public data shows that last month alone, 20,000 AliExpress semi-hosting merchants saw their orders grow by more than 100% . After the drastic reform, AliExpress is also optimizing a series of measures to reduce the burden on merchants while ensuring that timeliness is not reduced.

AliExpress’ latest announcement stated that the platform will relax the assessment of POP and JIT delivery timeliness , and at the same time provide penalty-free incentives to merchants with fast delivery and high-quality service experience .

In this way, semi-hosted merchants can launch new products and test models with greater confidence. Categories such as clothing accessories, household goods, kitchenware, pet supplies, gardening decorations, and beauty tools are welcoming a new wave of business opportunities.

According to AliExpress, these small, lightweight, and low-priced products are easy to buy together . When buying multiple items, the platform's semi-hosted unified logistics service can reduce freight costs by combining orders , allowing consumers to enjoy faster logistics services at a lower price , thereby improving conversion rates and repurchase rates.

The latest assessment rules are as follows:

1. Relaxation of delivery time assessment: For new products released within 30 days and products with sales volume ≤10 in the previous month , the POP time assessment is changed to 72 hours to go online, and the JIT time assessment is extended by 48 hours as a whole, that is, ① Door-to-door collection: orders before 14:00 (T+2 before 23:59) are collected and scanned; orders after 14:00 and before 23:59 are collected and scanned (T+3 23:59); ② Self-shipping: the goods are delivered to the warehouse within 96 hours after the buyer pays .

2. Penalty-free incentive for high-quality fulfillment stores: For merchants whose on-time delivery rate in the month is ≥ 95%, the penalty amount deducted in the month (including POP and JIT orders) will be returned at the end of the next month .

3. Holiday assessment adjustment: POP Sundays will be eliminated; the specific elimination time of JIT and POP public holidays will be subject to the platform announcement.

Previously, AliExpress has reduced the penalty amount for delayed delivery in the semi-hosted JIT model from the original 1~2 times to 0.5~1 times the product price.

In order to win the market, AliExpress is also increasing its own investment. After upgrading the "Global 5-Day Delivery Service" and officially announcing its sponsorship of the 2024 European Cup, it was recently revealed that it is preparing the "10 billion subsidy brand overseas" plan, known as the "No. 1 Project".
