TradingPedia and Brand Finance jointly released the "World's Most Valuable Brands in 2023" survey report.
The report shows that with a valuation of US$299.28 billion, Amazon successfully surpassed last year's champion Apple and became the world's most valuable brand in 2023.
Apple ranked second with a valuation of $297.51 billion, down 16.21% year-on-year from $355.08 billion in 2022. Although it also showed a downward trend, Amazon's market value fell by 14.56%, slightly lower than Apple.
In addition, Amazon has also won the title of the largest express delivery company in the United States, surpassing UPS and FedEx.
Ranked third is Google ( US$281.38 billion), with a market value up 6.82% from last year. It is the only company among the top three that shows an upward trend.
Microsoft (US$191.57 billion) and Walmart (US$113.78 billion) ranked fourth and fifth respectively. It is worth mentioning that the United States has taken the top five of the "World's Most Valuable Brands in 2023", and the total value of these companies has reached US$1.5 trillion. There are also two Chinese companies in the top ten, namely ICBC ranked 7th and TikTok ranked 10th.
Among them, ICBC's valuation is US$69.55 billion, down 7.42% from 2022. TikTok's valuation increased by 11.39% year-on-year to US$65.7 billion in 2023, jumping from 18th in 2022 to 10th in 2023.
According to data, TikTok has now covered more than 150 countries and regions around the world, with major markets including developed countries such as the United States, Europe, and Japan. In addition, TikTok's monthly active users in Indonesia have exceeded 100 million.
Based on monthly data for the first half of 2023, marketers can reach 1.092 billion users aged 18 and over on TikTok (the same below), including 127.4 million in North America, 165.3 million in South America, 57.5 million in Western Europe, 41.9 million in Southern Europe, and 93 million in Eastern Europe.
In addition, TikTok also opened a small store in the United States in 2023. When it was officially operated in August, its monthly sales reached more than 5 million US dollars, more than 10 million US dollars in October, and more than 33 million US dollars in November.
Coupled with its frequent actions in Southeast Asia, we can probably look forward to the development of TikTok in 2024.
Back to our list, Chinese brands occupy 22 seats in the top 100 and 79 seats in the top 500, making them the two major winners of the list together with the United States.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that the total value of retail brands accounts for as much as 13.2% of the entire industry, ranking second only to technology brands. Amazon TikTok The world's most valuable brand |
