Cainiao deepens the construction of its express delivery network in Spain, and the number of cross-border e-commerce orders grows strongly

The volume of cross-border e-commerce orders has grown strongly, and the construction of overseas local networks has accelerated again.

Recently, the reporter learned from Cainiao that Cainiao International Express will further deepen the layout of the local express network construction in Spain. At present, Cainiao's self-operated express network has covered 47 major regions in Spain (including 3 outer island regions) , and local express delivery can be achieved in 23 key cities such as Madrid and Barcelona , ​​and "next day delivery" in other regions . In addition, the "weekend delivery" service has been launched in core urban areas such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​and Valencia to meet the growing demand of local consumers for e-commerce logistics.

With the coming of the "Double 11", "Black Friday", Christmas and other big promotions at the end of the year, Cainiao International Express is also accelerating its network in Spain, adding self-operated distribution stations in five regions: Biscaya, Asturias, Mallorca and La Coruña. In addition, trucks from Cainiao's Madrid distribution center to various regions have been dispatched daily, and with the distribution stations covering 47 cities, the terminal delivery can be further accelerated.

It is understood that since the official launch of its self-operated business in Spain in 2021 , the fulfillment capacity of Cainiao's local self-operated distribution network has rapidly improved. In September this year, Cainiao and AliExpress officially launched the "Global 5-Day Delivery" international express product, with Spain as one of the first markets to land. During the Double 11 and Black Friday promotions this year, the average daily parcel volume handled by Cainiao's Madrid distribution center increased by 800% year-on-year.

With the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce, the last mile of delivery is related to the consumer experience and has become a key link in cross-border logistics. To this end, in Spain, Cainiao relies on its self-built express delivery network to provide local merchants and Chinese cross-border merchants with different logistics solutions such as cross-border small packages, local warehouse delivery, on-site delivery, and same-city delivery; in France and Brazil, Cainiao further deepens the construction of the terminal delivery network; in Poland, Cainiao is planning to build the largest local self-pickup cabinet network.

It is understood that as the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics company, Cainiao's global smart logistics network covers more than 200 countries and regions.
