Amazon has another batch of products recalled urgently

The Spanish Consumers and Users Organization (OCU) issued the latest alert yesterday from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), which ordered the mandatory removal and recall of a batch of children's cosmetics sold on Amazon.

According to the alert issued by the Autonomous Region of Catalonia, the recalled products belong to the MARKWINS BEAUTY company and are from the same series . The alert was originally issued by RAPEX, the EU's non-food dangerous non-food product alert system.

The specific products being recalled are:

POP GIRL Color Tint.

POP GIRL Beauty On-the-Go- Neon Pink.

POP GIRL Nail Blockbuster.

POP GIRL Beauty Case.

POP GIRL Color Train Case.

POP GIRL Beauty Vanity Case.

POP GIRL Mini Beauty Case Set.

All batches of the above products are included in the recall. According to information, these products are marketed by MARKWINS BEAUTY BRANDS INC.

When asked about the reason for the recall, OCU explained that the recall was due to the following risk factors detected in these products:

-Contains bromophenol (2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol) which is not listed in the ingredient list

- The concentration of phenoxyethanol is lower than expected

- A mixture of methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI) and methylisothiazolinone (MI) preservatives that are prohibited in leave-on cosmetics. Long-term contact with these ingredients may cause allergic reactions in those with sensitive skin.

The presence of the above preservatives not only violates European cosmetic regulations, but also poses health hazards to children who come into contact with them.

At present, AEMPS has ordered a stop to the sale of all the above products.

AEMPS also reminds consumers not to buy these products if they are still seen in the market, and to stop using them immediately if they are found at home.
