As global consumer behavior shifts from offline to online, e-commerce has become an important force for China to improve the quality and efficiency of economic operation, promote industrial restructuring and expand opening up. According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce, since the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (hereinafter referred to as: RCEP) on January 1 , 2022, China has established bilateral e-commerce cooperation mechanisms with 23 countries on five continents. Among the 19 free trade agreements signed by China, about 60% contain e-commerce clauses. In the same year, the 12th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization achieved important results and promised to revitalize the e-commerce plan.
