This award is part of the Belgian Transportation and Logistics Annual Awards and has a 30-year history. It is selected and awarded by the Belgian authoritative logistics media Transportmedia and is the largest and highest-level award event in the country's logistics industry. The annual logistics building award is selected based on multiple dimensions such as the design level, construction quality, safety, environmental protection level and improvement of logistics operation efficiency of logistics buildings.

This time, Cainiao was shortlisted alongside many international first-tier logistics services and developers . The Cainiao Liège eHub project, designed and developed independently by Cainiao Ground Network , stood out from the five candidate projects with its industry-leading safety design, warehouse layout that improves operational efficiency, and high compatibility with the latest digital logistics technology. Cainiao also became the first Chinese company to win the Belgian Logistics Building of the Year Award .

Cainiao Belgium Liege eHub is located at Liege Airport, with an overall planned area of ​​about 220,000 square meters, of which nearly 120,000 square meters are warehouses. The first phase of Cainiao Liege eHub put into use 30,000 square meters of space, which took more than a year to complete . It is independently operated by Cainiao and is mainly divided into two parts: 1. The 20,000 square meter air cargo terminal is used for the rapid transfer of import and export goods between the airside and landside of the airport ; The 18,000 square meter distribution center will centrally handle unloading , customs clearance, sorting, etc. , to help improve the efficiency of the entire cross-border package chain .
