SHEIN and Arabic singer Balqees Fathi launch new Ramadan collection

Global online fashion retailer SHEIN has teamed up with Arab singer Balqees Fathi to launch Ramadan collections. The clothes are inspired by the songs of Emirati singer Balqees Fathi and are currently available in the Middle East. The collection went online on April 4.

SHEIN often collaborates with fashion influencers from all over the world to design their Ramadan collections. Last year's Ramadan collection was launched in collaboration with Dr. Kholouud, a leading figure in the Arab world.

This year's Ramadan begins on Saturday evening, April 2, and will last until sunset on Sunday, May 1. It is reported that about 2 billion people around the world celebrate Ramadan. For all Muslims, Ramadan is the holiest month of the year.

As an important festival in Muslim countries, during this period, they will fast, reflect, pray, do good deeds, give gifts, and spend time with family and friends to have a good time.

Ramadan is the peak season for local people to shop. Influenced by local customs, local companies usually distribute annual bonuses on the eve of Ramadan, which also makes consumers more willing to shop during Ramadan. Clothing is a popular category of purchases during Ramadan.

This year's Ramadan clothing series is imitated and designed by Balqees. These T-shirts use modern calligraphy and decorative designs. Five inspiring lyrics are extracted and printed on T-shirts, reflecting the true essence of Ramadan and are used to convey the spiritual power of thoughtfulness, gratitude and sharing from Ramadan.

Balqees has worked with many charities and has been an advocate for women’s rights. In 2016, she was named a United Nations Advocate for Women’s Rights in the Middle East. Balqees’ personality and popularity have helped her become a regional influencer and role model, which is also an important reason for SHEIN to work with her. SHEIN celebrates those who insist on equality for women, invites them to express their individuality through fashion exploration, and help the disadvantaged.

Through this Ramadan series, SHEIN and Balqees intend to call on everyone to lend a helping hand to those in need and those less fortunate.

Meanwhile, to spread the love, sales generated from the collection during the SHEIN livestream on April 9 will be donated directly to the Emirates Red Crescent and the Sanad Children’s Cancer Support Association to help vulnerable women and children .
