Virtual enhancement technology doubles traffic conversion rate?

It is understood that Cort, an American furniture rental retailer , is using 3D and augmented reality ( AR ) technology provided by VR platform Vertebrae to enable customers to interact with products in real time at home . In the first month after the launch of this feature, Cort's traffic conversion rate increased by 111%.

 

Using 3D and AR technology, consumers can view multiple furniture and home accessories products from all angles and evaluate how a piece of furniture will look and fit in their own space. Vince  Consumers are able to see these products in their space at the right size and proportion, and examine the details of textures and fabrics, giving them greater confidence in their purchase , Cacace said.

 

In addition to doubling conversion rates, Cort's revenue per visit increased by 122% for desktop users and 78% for mobile users . According to Cort , this feature was launched to serve customers as conveniently and efficiently as possible during the epidemic .

 

In addition to Cort, other retailers across multiple verticals are leveraging technology to provide customers with immersive virtual product sampling capabilities. This includes specialty outdoor retailer Mystery   Ranch and Yeti, as well as bridal retailer David's   Bridal and online luggage retailer eBags.

 

More and more retailers are using various VR and AR technology solutions to digitally bring home products to life and provide realistic simulations of furniture items in customers’ personal spaces. Most notably, Amazon   Showroom, which enables shoppers to place realistic 3D images of their homes into a customizable virtual living room.
