The Cainiao Bonded Warehouse Cross-border Live Streaming Alliance is a new cross-border e-commerce sales model that combines three groups, namely, Cainiao's ports throughout the country, bonded warehouses under customs supervision, live streaming organizations, and cross-border merchants, to jointly create "logistics guarantee, price guarantee, and import guarantee". Currently, the alliance covers five major Cainiao bonded warehouses in Yiwu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Guangzhou, and Zhengzhou, and can provide tens of thousands of imported goods covering hundreds of imported brands to consumers across the country.

The person in charge of Cainiao Warehouse Broadcast said in a speech on the spot that Cainiao Warehouse Broadcast is based on bonded warehouses under customs supervision, providing new sales channels and business opportunities for cross-border merchants, and using logistics to realize "cross-border business is easy to do"; at the same time, based on "warehouses", it provides "goods and venues" under customs supervision for live broadcast organizations and platforms, saving the anchors from the worries of sourcing and selecting products.

In recent years, in the face of the raging epidemic, cross-border e-commerce has bucked the trend, and the demand for imported goods in China has continued to increase, but many consumers are concerned about how the goods are bonded and authentic. "Bonded warehouses have the characteristics of 'domestic and foreign customs', so the bonded warehouse delivery model is generally recognized by the market due to quality assurance, fast logistics and price advantages," the relevant person in charge of Cainiao Yiwu Bonded Warehouse told reporters. The imported goods sold by Cainiao Warehouse Broadcasting need to be supervised by the customs before entering the bonded warehouse. The goods shipped out of the warehouse to consumers also need to be combined with the order, logistics and payment documents, and declared to the customs before they can be shipped out, so as to ensure the traceability and supervision of the goods in the warehouse.

It is worth mentioning that the bonded warehouse delivery model is not only reflected in strict supervision, but also has obvious advantages in logistics timeliness and price. Reporters learned that the new sales model built by the bonded warehouse alliance has opened up the entire chain from anchor selection, warehouse stocking, anchor live broadcast to logistics distribution. Bulk purchases are stored in the bonded warehouse in advance, greatly saving logistics and procurement costs. Consumers can receive goods ordered from bonded warehouse live broadcasts in an average of 2-3 days.

With the completion of the Yiwu bonded warehouse live broadcast room, Cainiao will use its own logistics and e-commerce advantages to work with the comprehensive bonded zone to actively explore online sales, anchor training, merchant introduction, etc. It is reported that after Cainiao's cross-border import business landed in Yiwu in 2019, the business scale has continued to expand, and the current business volume ranks first in Yiwu's cross-border imports.
