The event is part of the Make Amazon Pay campaign. According to the Make Amazon Pay website, Amazon employees around the world will participate in the Black Friday strike, from refineries, factories, warehouses, data centers to corporate offices .

They said that during the pandemic, Amazon became a trillion-dollar company and Bezos became the first person in history to accumulate a personal fortune of $200 billion.
