Product infringement is a stepping stone for many sellers. Not only will a store that sells infringing products be at risk of being complained and reported, but there is also a risk of the infringing products being seized and confiscated when they are imported and exported through customs. The editor reminds sellers that selling infringing products is harmful and has no benefits. Doing so will only put themselves at constant risk of economic loss.
Not long ago, several cases of infringement of export products occurred in customs in many places , including electronic products, mobile phone accessories, toys and beauty products.
Just recently, Laogang Customs seized a batch of undeclared infringing goods among the exported goods, including 300 wireless headphones printed with the "Apple logo", 18,000 paper packaging boxes printed with the "NOKIA" trademark, and 6,000 packaging boxes marked with the "SAMSUNG" trademark. After confirmation by the customs, these are all infringing products and have been detained, and relevant investigations have also been launched.
Toy giant LEGO is not immune to infringement by counterfeit products. Recently, when inspecting export goods, Haikou Customs discovered a batch of toys printed with the "LEGO" trademark, a total of 27 boxes, which were suspected of infringing the intellectual property rights registered by LEGO Bosch Co., Ltd. with the General Administration of Customs. The party concerned has also waived its declaration on the suspected infringing goods.
Cosmetics products are also prone to infringement. There are some fake big-name cosmetics, especially some color cosmetics. Recently, when inspecting a batch of declared goods such as powder puffs and combs, Beilun Customs found undeclared lip glosses with the "ESSENCE" trademark printed on the packaging and products . After confirmation by the customs, it was found that the batch of lip glosses was an infringing product, totaling 4,320 pieces, and has been detained by the customs.
The editor would like to remind all sellers to avoid selling infringing products. Infringing products will be at risk of being seized by customs when they are imported or exported, and they will then have to bear certain economic risks. They should abide by industry rules, sell legitimate products, and avoid causing themselves unnecessary trouble. Customs Seizure of Infringing Products |
