What is Request a Review? Request a Review Review, Features

Request a Review is a new feature launched by Amazon in November 2019. Amazon provides a set of special review request email templates. When sellers want to ask customers for reviews, they can simply click this function button to complete it. This function will also request Feedback at the same time.

About Request a Review

The Request a Review button can only be used once for an order and can only be used within 4 to 30 days after the order is delivered. If you use this function for an order that does not meet the time limit, you will be prompted "Currently not eligible"; if you use this function more than twice for an order that meets the time limit, you will be prompted "This request will be prohibited."

Advantages

1. It is more convenient to request reviews. You don’t need to find templates or type by yourself.

2. The risk of sellers requesting reviews is greatly reduced. Emails are sent uniformly by Amazon and the content is controlled by Amazon. There is no need to worry about the appearance of risky words leading to store closure.

3. The authenticity of buyers’ reviews has been greatly improved, and sellers have lost control over whether the reviews are good or bad.

Disadvantages

1. It is very convenient to ask for reviews. While asking for a large number of positive reviews, you may also "ask for" a large number of negative reviews.

2. Sellers can gently guide buyers to give positive reviews by requesting reviews themselves, while Amazon’s cold review request template may result in more negative reviews.

3. Each order requires a click, which adds a lot of work.

4. The risk of requesting reviews through in-site messages or spontaneous emails may increase.

Seller Feedback

Some sellers reported that the button would disappear from time to time, and other sellers also reported that the button was indeed unstable and sometimes disappeared, which might be because it was still in the testing phase. Some sellers also reported that the button could only send emails one by one, and there was no possibility of batch operation.
