With this feature , sellers can set a daily limit on the number of orders they pack and ship. If the number of orders received on a given day exceeds the limit set by the seller , the processing time for all additional orders will be increased by one day.
Amazon believes that the main benefits of this feature to sellers are : flexibility in setting faster processing times; faster delivery commitments to customers; easier management of expected or unexpected order quantities; and reduced risk of high delayed shipment rates during peak order conditions, because once daily capacity is reached, orders will be adjusted based on processing time.
It’s worth noting that the order handling capabilities feature is limited to standard shipping orders for seller-fulfilled (non- Prime), domestic, and international locations. It does not apply to Prime and Premium shipping orders.
In general, the daily order limit feature launched by Amazon is still very useful for sellers' business operations. In the upcoming shopping season, the number of orders received by sellers every day will usher in a certain increase. Using this feature can ensure that sellers do not have to worry about the problem of reduced on-time delivery rate due to too many orders during busy periods.
Sellers can set up this feature in the processing time settings . Orders that exceed the daily order limit can be shipped the next day, and the relevant shipping indicators will not be affected.
