Linio, an e-commerce platform, opens its first physical store in Chile, building a bridge between virtual and reality

According to AmericaRetail, Latin American e-commerce platform Linio opened its first offline store on the second floor of the Open Kennedy shopping mall in Chile last week , opening from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday .

Linio was founded in Mexico in 2012 and is affiliated to the Falabella Group, the largest retailer in Latin America. It covers five countries: Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. It mainly sells electronic products, household goods, fashion, health and beauty, mother and baby toys, etc., with more than four million product categories.

It is reported that the purpose of Linio opening offline stores is to increase the "visibility" of products with the help of physical space, that is, to provide customers with a space where they can experience products offline.

In addition to displaying and selling the most popular products on the platform, such as masks, cosmetics, gaming keyboards and sweeping robots , Linio offline stores also allow consumers to place orders directly in the store through tablets from the online store. At the same time, Linio offline stores will also be equipped with professional in-store shopping guides to provide customers with purchase assistance and multi-sensory experience suggestions.

Linio 's Chile country manager Domingo Lama described the move to open a physical store as "building a bridge between two worlds" .

He said: "We are excited to enable the best sellers on the platform to reach a large number of offline consumers and provide them with a unique sensory experience. At the same time, this store is also an opportunity to provide our sellers with new display and sales space and innovative experiences ."

Leopoldo Vargas Brand, Linio's shopping center and retail manager, further analyzed and introduced the reasons why the e-commerce platform joined the offline competition, including to meet the surge in offline shopping people after the epidemic eased, to build a brand image with high-quality offline shopping experience, to provide a good offline shopping experience and reduce waiting time for delivery to stimulate consumer purchases, and to increase exposure and increase online sales .

Nowadays, e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, JD.com, and Alibaba have all opened physical stores offline to make up for the lack of e-commerce product experience, complementing the advantages of online and offline, thereby enhancing consumers' confidence in online shopping and seeking more long-term development.

Sellers can also pay more attention to this. Putting their best-selling products on the platform’s offline stores is also an excellent brand marketing plan!
