The recall includes Generac 6,500-watt and 8,000-watt Generac portable generators, model numbers XT8000E, XT8000EFI, GP6500, GP6500E, GP8000E and HomeLink 6500E portable generators, as well as DR model numbers PRO 6500M and PRO 650E portable generators.

From the CPSC's presentation, the editor discovered that the products were manufactured in both China and the United States. If any merchants are still selling such products, they should immediately recall or stop selling them.

After the recall , CPSC and Generac said that if consumers have purchased such products, they should stop using them immediately unless they have eliminated or repaired the safety hazard themselves.
