Amazon VAT Services registration fee from as low as €50

Recently, Amazon announced on its official website that due to the high cost and risk of VAT compliance, Amazon has proposed the latest preferential policies for sellers who intend to enter the European market. The current VAT service fee for each European country is as low as 50 euros . The 50 euro service fee includes VAT registration, a UK or EU number EORI, and sworn translation services . Amazon said that after sellers join the VAT service, the tax and declaration agency fees for the first six months will be borne by Amazon. After the period of bearing, the fee is now 33.30 euros.

With the implementation of the new EU VAT regulations, the VAT costs faced by e-commerce in non-EU countries (including the UK after Brexit) have increased, and compliance issues have become extremely important. Amazon's service can be said to be born in line with the trend. It saves sellers time costs by effectively integrating the tax policies of other countries, and launches irregular platform discounts to save money costs, achieving two-way information flow between the sales location and the seller. At the same time, by strictly reviewing the qualifications of Amazon sellers, it provides basic guarantees for sellers in their initial compliance operations.

Many sellers may have noticed that Amazon has recently launched many preferential VAT services (including various countries /regions), and I don’t know what the purpose is. The answer is nothing more than to attract more sellers to register, expand the market share in the preferential areas, and accelerate Amazon’s business expansion process through a large number of sellers stationed on the site.

Many people may not know much about Amazon's VAT service. According to Amazon's own explanation, it is a VAT compliance solution that allows it to use third-party tax service providers in seven countries (the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic) to manage its European VAT registration and reporting obligations, making it easier and more time-saving to deal with VAT compliance matters.

Currently, Amazon's VAT service policy has been extended to Sweden, Poland and other places.
