It is reported that since April 14, 2021, Real.de has been renamed kaufland.de and officially became a member of Schwarz Gruppe. In this way, Europe's top retail group Kaufland and the e-commerce platform dark horse Real.de can join forces to create a win-win situation.
Kaufland is a German supermarket chain brand, which belongs to the Schwarz Group. It is a sister store of Lidl, which also belongs to the Schwarz Group. They are similar in nature and more like domestic hypermarkets. They cover an area of large areas and have a wide variety of products. They focus on high-quality, low-priced and one-stop shopping experience. As the largest retail group in Europe, the Schwarz Group achieved a turnover of 113.3 billion euros as early as 2019.
Real.de has risen rapidly in recent years and has become the third largest e-commerce platform in the German market after Amazon and eBay. Real.de has nearly 300 offline stores and supermarkets, and its online website has more than 19 million monthly visits, with a customer unit price exceeding Amazon and eBay. Currently, the three best-selling categories on the platform are electronics, furniture & household goods, and DIY products. Since 2020, thanks to the dividends of the epidemic, real.de's sales have grown by more than 88%, reaching a sales volume of 1 billion euros.
As early as eight months ago, it was announced that Schwarz Gruppe had acquired Real.de as part of the group's digital business, continuing the online market business under the name of Kaufland. Real.de will also complement the group's stationery business and expand its offer to customers and trading partners in Germany and abroad.
At present, Real.de is the fastest growing e-commerce platform in Germany. Its annual growth rate has exceeded 6 times the growth rate of the German e-commerce market. Its competitors in Germany have always been unable to catch up with it. Now it still maintains a good momentum and has an immeasurable future. Now it has a strong group as a backing, and it will have great potential in the German market.
In April this year , Real.de will officially become a member of Schwarz Gruppe. The first wave of polarization has begun. The traffic of Real.de platform has surged recently. In just a few days, the sales of some buyers have doubled. The number of early sellers has increased by more than 5 times compared with the same period last year.
It is the spring sales season, and the changing seasons and pace of life have brought new consumer demand. As the weather gets warmer, German residents who have been staying at home in winter have begun to take care of their gardens. The tools needed to repair the gardens, as well as various decorations and utensils in the gardens, will all see large-scale growth due to the surge in traffic.
