According to Xinhua News Agency, since 2013, a total of 10,556 China-Europe freight trains have entered and exited the country through the Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports, and 952,601 standard containers of goods have been shipped.
At present, there are more than 50 China-Europe train routes entering and leaving the country through Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports , and the types of goods transported are becoming increasingly rich. The cargo collection places cover dozens of cities such as Tianjin, Changsha, and Guangzhou, and reach more than ten countries in Europe. Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports are important ports in the eastern corridor of China-Europe trains. The main import and export goods through Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports include daily necessities, electrical products, industrial machinery, etc.
Manzhouli Port is located in the China-Russia-Mongolia triangle, bordering Russia to the north and Mongolia to the west. It is the transportation hub of the First Eurasian Continental Bridge, an important international channel from China to Russia and other CIS countries and European countries, and the largest border land port in China. The port's cargo volume has always ranked first among similar ports in the country. It is the largest railway port in the country and the largest trading port for Sino-Russian trade, carrying 60% of the cargo volume of Sino-Russian trade .
Suifenhe is located in the center of the Northeast Asian economic circle. It is China's only land trade port leading to the Sea of Japan. It is a junction of land and sea passages connecting China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, North Korea and other countries and regions through the Russian ports of Vladivostok and Nakhodka. It is a "window" and "bridge" for China to participate in multilateral international economic cooperation and competition in Northeast Asia .
According to the railway department, since the China-Europe Express started running through the Manzhouli Port in 2013, the number of China-Europe Express trains entering and leaving the Manzhouli Port has continued to grow rapidly. Since the China-Europe Express started running through the Suifenhe Port in 2018, a total of 410 trains have been launched, and the frequency of running has increased from an average of 6 trains per month in the early days to an average of 20 trains per month at present.
Data shows that in 2020, the number of China-Europe trains entering and leaving the country through the Manzhouli port exceeded 3,500 for the first time this year, a year-on-year increase of 35.1%. In 2020, 217 China-Europe trains entered and left the country through the Suifenhe port, a year-on-year increase of 77.9%, exceeding the total number of China-Europe trains opened in 2018 and 2019.
In January this year , a total of 331 China-Europe freight trains entered and exited the country through the Manzhouli Port, an increase of 59.9% year-on-year.
