According to foreign media reports, based on an analysis of 260 billion visits and 3 million transactions from 71 regional retailers in Southeast Asia , the results are as follows


Sales in Indonesia , Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand and Vietnam increased by 68% overall compared to the same period last year .


In particular, order transactions through mobile application devices increased by 69% compared with the same period last year . Among them, the growth rate of e-commerce website traffic in Indonesia has attracted much attention.


The data shows that application traffic in Indonesia increased significantly compared to October 2020 .


Nowadays, many sellers choose to enter Southeast Asia. As a fertile ground for the development of e-commerce, Indonesia has not only become the focus of many foreign technology giants, but also the focus of many sellers.


So what is the consumer traffic like on existing e-commerce platforms in Indonesia?


According to statistics, Tokopedia is the leader of e-commerce in Indonesia , with the highest traffic share compared to other e-commerce.


Data shows that Tokopedia accounts for 32.04% of the total traffic share of Indonesian e-commerce websites , and consumers visit e-commerce websites 129.1 million times per month.


Among them, 62.7% of the visits were made through mobile devices , while 37.3% were made through desktop devices .


Shopee ’s website traffic ranks second in Indonesia, with a traffic share of 29.78% and 120 million visits per month.


72.4 % of consumers access the Shopee website via mobile devices and 21.3 % via desktop devices .


Bukalapak ranks third in terms of website visits in Indonesia , with a traffic share of 8.23% and 13.58 million visits per month.


It is understood that consumers mainly access Bukalapak through mobile devices , accounting for 78.7% , while the access rate through desktop computers is 21.3% .


In fourth place is Lazada with a traffic share of 7.11% and 28.66 million monthly visits.


Consumers mainly access through mobile devices ( 80.7% ) and desktops ( 19.3 % ) .


Finally, Blibli ranks fifth with a traffic share of 4.22% and 16.99 million monthly visits . Consumers mainly visit Blibli through mobile devices , accounting for 64.7 % , while desktops account for 35.3% .


From the above data, we can find that Indonesian consumers prefer to browse the websites of major e-commerce platforms through mobile devices. Tokopedia and Shopee are far ahead of other e-commerce platforms with more than 100 million visits per month .


The traffic data of these e-commerce platforms is also crucial for sellers to choose e-commerce platforms to enter Indonesia.
