1. Hyperlocal transportation

The goods ordered by customers will be delivered to customers within 30 to 90 minutes. The goods of this delivery service include takeaways, medicines and supermarket groceries. Shadowfax will provide the deliveryman with the lowest cost and shortest time route. This logistics service is somewhat similar to the delivery service of "Ele.me" and "Meituan" platforms.

2. Same-day delivery

Same-day orders are processed on the same day. The delivery service includes supermarket groceries, intra-city express delivery and door-to-door pickup of online shopping returns.

3. Next-day delivery

Orders placed on the same day can be delivered the next day. This logistics service is somewhat similar to the next-day delivery of SF Express. Goods are transported by air to distant cities and by land to nearby cities, achieving the fastest logistics at the lowest cost.

Development History

-In April 2015, Shadowfax was established.

-In September 2015, Shadowfax received $8.5 million in Series A funding from Eight Roads Ventures.

-In 2016, Shadowfax acquired Pickingo in a cash and stock transaction.

-In December 2016, Shadowfax announced that it had received a $10 million Series B financing, led by Eight Road Ventures, a well-known venture capital firm that had previously invested in the company and is an investment division of Fidelity International Ltd.

-In 2017, Shadowfax also acquired Sequoia Capital-backed Nuvo Ex, further consolidating its leadership in India’s reverse logistics market.

-In November 2018, Shadowfax, India's largest crowdsourced logistics delivery platform, announced the completion of a US$22 million Series C financing round led by NGP Capital, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Mirae Asset and old shareholder Eight Roads Ventures.

- Shadowfax’s revenues tripled to Rs 763 million in FY18 (Rs 317 million in FY17), while its losses narrowed to Rs 212 million from Rs 285 million in FY17.

-In 2019, according to foreign media reports, Shadowfax has received $60 million in Series D funding, led by Flipkart, Eight Roads Venture, Nokia Growth Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Mirae Asset-Naver Fund and World Bank-backed IFC. So far, Shadowfax's total financing has reached $100 million.
