Yodel in China

In November 2018, Yodel, the second largest express delivery company in the UK, announced that it would open its first international overseas office in Chengdu, China to improve the delivery timeliness of parcels between China and the UK.

Yodel said that Chengdu is a strategic location connecting southeast China, covering Shenzhen and Hong Kong where many electronic product manufacturers are distributed, and is also an important node city on the "Belt and Road", so it was chosen here.

James Wang, head of Yodel's China office, said: "More and more British consumers like to purchase Chinese goods from Alibaba, eBay, Amazon and Wish. Setting up an office in China can improve delivery timeliness and serve more British consumers." Yodel said that the new president will be committed to establishing partnerships with China's leading e-commerce platforms and third-party logistics companies.
