About Superama

In 1965, the first Superama branch opened, conceived as a Superama in a corner of Río Churubusco (now called Eje Central). The following year, the "Barrilaco" branch opened in Lomas de Chapultepec and the "Horació" branch in Polanco, north of Mexico City. By the end of 2008, this format covered 14 cities in the Mexican Republic, adding 66 units, employing more than 9,000 people and representing 5.2% of Walmart Mexico's sales. This model stems from the chain of five "super discount" stores that the Aurrerá Association had established in the 1960s.

• Superama accepts any form of payment in Mexican national currency (money or banknotes)

The shipping costs only take into account the delivery area, which is limited to 4 kilometers from the store where the customer chooses to fill the order, and for each additional kilometer outside this coverage area, a fee of 5.00 pesos will be charged (not applicable to express delivery orders, as these are only within the coverage area and in any case it is necessary to present an official ID of the person receiving the order.)
