About Centro Brands

Centroplast has been developing and producing plastics since 1961. We produce thermoplastics and semi-finished products and components made from them for companies in almost all economic sectors. Our headquarters are still located in Marsberg in the northeast of Sauerland.

Since 1998 Centroplast has been part of CENTROTEC SE, a company represented in more than 45 countries specializing in energy-efficient building technology.

history

• 1961: The company is founded under the name Gleitstoff-Gesellschaft mbH & Co KG.
• 1973: The company changes its name to Centroplast Kunststofferzeugnisse GmbH
• 1981: Production of semi-finished and finished plastic products
• 1991 - 93: Expansion of production skills to produce high-performance plastics
• 1996: Successful certification according to DIN ISO 9001
• 1998: Centroplast becomes an integral part of Centrotec SE
• 2004: Company name changed to Centroplast Engineering Plastics GmbH
• 2008: Expansion of machining on 5-axis CNC machining centres
• 2013: Expansion of production area
• 2014: Introduction to 3D printing technology
• 2015: Expansion and professionalization of internal processes; creation of the Materials Development Department
• 2016: Expanded customer service; built in-house laboratory
