About Thuma

• Thuma was created to reflect our passions and values. A love of leisure and recreation, an appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship, and some strong beliefs.
• Beds are the foundation of our lives, the centerpiece of our headquarters. Yet, nobody really loves their old bed frame. Most beds, whether cheap or expensive, come with a laundry list of undesirability. Too flimsy, squeaky, hard to assemble, impossible to move, limited storage, toxic materials, cheap design. The list goes on. For the most used piece of furniture in our lives, we thought it was time to do something better. So we set out to solve all of the most intimate issues in the bedroom, starting with The Bed itself.

Thuma Products

We use eco-friendly, upcycled and reused rubberwood from rubber tree plantations close to our artisans and factories. By doing this, we are repurposing trees that have reached the end of their latex production lifecycle and been discarded. This process also minimizes our carbon footprint by significantly reducing transportation emissions compared to other companies that import from greater distances.

Q: How long does it take to set up/break down The Bed?

A: After removing the pieces from the packaging, one person can assemble the bed in about five minutes without tools. For those who like to take their time, you may still be able to get everything set up in 15 minutes.

Q: Do I need a box spring?

A: While you can use a box spring on The Bed, we strongly recommend that you do not. The slats are perfectly spaced just under 3 inches apart to evenly cradle your mattress while providing optimal support and breathability. We also recommend against bed skirts. Bed and pillow boards are meant to be seen.

Q: How long does the shipping take?

A: Typically our products ship within 1-5 business days (Monday through Friday) and are shipped within 1-5 business days, excluding weekends and federal holidays. In some cases, in certain zip codes, deliveries may be made on Saturdays and Sundays.

Q: Where does Thuma ship?

A: We ship all over the United States, and shipping is free within the U.S. Currently, we do not have an ETA for international shipping, but stay tuned.
