1210 is the supervision mode code, the full name of which is "bonded cross-border trade e-commerce", or "bonded e-commerce" for short. When the "1210" supervision mode is used for imports, it is limited to the customs special supervision areas and bonded logistics centers (Type B) that have been approved to carry out cross-border trade e-commerce import pilot projects.

1210 Operational Scope

The scope of application of 1210 is limited. When importing under 1210, it is limited to the special customs supervision areas and bonded logistics centers (Type B) approved for cross-border trade e-commerce import pilot projects. Special customs supervision areas include bonded areas, export processing zones, bonded logistics parks, cross-border industrial parks, bonded port areas and comprehensive bonded areas. "Bonded warehouses" are bonded supervision places and are not within the scope of 1210 supervision methods.

1210 Import Process

• Build system: Establish computer management system as required and exchange electronic data;
• Handle enterprise information registration: Enterprises participating in cross-border e-commerce retail imports should register their enterprise information or registration with the local customs in advance;
• Enterprises participating in cross-border e-commerce retail imports should go to the local electronic port to handle the data access procedures of the "Cross-border E-commerce Import Information System";
• Connect to the data transmission system and set up a dedicated cross-border logistics account book;
• Finally, handle the tax guarantee and entry and exit procedures.
