Development History

- Founded by IAC in 2005, Pronto is a downloadable software application that monitors all user activity on a product page and then displays deals on the same or similar items from other merchants until a better deal is found.

-In July 2006, Pronto launched a beta version of its traditional comparison shopping engine website, which was officially launched in September 2006.

-In 2009, Pronto launched vertical microsites starting with fashion, home and technology, followed by kids and babies.

-In 2010, Pronto launched its first international joint venture, MegaDeal.jp, for the Japanese market.

- In 2011, Pronto's international expansion became three more countries, starting with the launch of the German site "Dealecke.de" in March, followed by "Superprix.com", a site for French users in July, and the British site "DealHop" launched in October.
