The once popular product was once all the rage on major social media platforms including TikTok, and even many domestic review bloggers rushed to post unboxing videos.
But after the boom, it ended up in a mess. Recently, Amazon banned it due to "product violations".
That’s right, this product is Flipper Zero. It looks like a children’s toy on the outside, but it’s actually very sophisticated. Flipper Zero was inspired by the Cybernetic Dolphin in the cyberpunk movie "Johnny Mnemonic" (a dolphin that was once enhanced by navy technology and eventually became a hacker).
In fact, Flipper Zero is a practical hacking tool. With a little practice, even a novice with no relevant knowledge can immediately transform into a mysterious "hacker".
With it, users can use it to open garage doors, change gas station price signs, intercept Bluetooth signals, and even hack into other people's computers.
When it was at its peak last year, videos related to Flipper went viral on TikTok, with almost every video having a good number of views. In the videos, users showed how this gadget turned them into "amateur hackers" in seconds, and some people could even use it to hack into other people's electronic wallets and read bank card numbers.
Flipper Zero co-creator Alex Kurakin said the device was designed for educational and entertainment purposes, with the target audience being mainly code hobbyists.
“We designed it with the goal of presenting coding knowledge to the public in a simpler way, but we cannot completely deny it just because it has potential risks. It depends on whether the person using it has bad intentions.” As the product became more and more popular, Amazon finally couldn't sit still and decided to intervene and suppress it. After searching on Amazon, it was found that the relevant products could no longer be found. Some consumers could not open the previous shopping link, and it showed "Sorry, we can't find that page."
Amazon said: "We took this action because the product violated the platform's policies and is therefore not allowed to be sold on the Amazon platform."
However, despite being banned by Amazon, Flipper 's products can still be purchased on its official website, currently priced at US$169.
This incident also indirectly reflects the importance of multi-channel layout. We cannot rely too much on Amazon, otherwise if the product is banned, the blow will be too great. Amazon TikTok Block |
