Shopify launches service for selling NFT products!

Recently, Shopify President Harley Finkelstein announced on Twitter the launch of a service for selling NFT products .

According to Shopify , with this new service , sellers can create NFTs on popular blockchains such as Ethereum , Polygon , Near , Flow, etc. , and receive payments from buyers through Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, encrypted payment gateways, credit cards or debit cards, etc.

Some people may not know much about NFT . The full name of NFT is Non-Fungible Tokens, which is often translated into Chinese as "non-fungible tokens/non-substitutable tokens".

Because NFT has a non-fungible nature, it means it can be used to represent something unique, like an original Mona Lisa painting in a museum.

When a user purchases an NFT, it means obtaining an indelible record of ownership and the right to use the actual asset. For example, if a user purchases a piece of art, it can be displayed and reproduced, but only this person is its actual owner.

NFT is a "unique" asset in the digital world. It can be bought and sold and used to represent some goods in the real world, but the way it exists is intangible.

NFT can represent almost any digital asset, including artwork, music or movies, virtual items and audio files. Previously, an NFT representing a digital painting composed of 5,000 smaller images created by artist Beeple was sold at Christie's auction house for more than $69 million.

According to data collected by Shopify , the average purchase price of most NFTs is over $100; approximately 4.1 million people in the United States have purchased or sold NFTs. Shopify said that using its NFT product services can reduce the complexity of encryption; by issuing COA, ownership can be proved like any other physical product.

Additionally, customers can easily claim their NFTs via email and add them directly to their wallets. However, this feature is currently only available to US Plus merchants.

Finally, the editor still has to remind you that the volatility of the virtual currency market is very high, the attitudes of various governments towards it are not very clear, and some countries have shown a non-supportive attitude, so everyone should be cautious.
