Amazon Singapore to debut on Singles’ Day

Amazon Singapore will participate in the Double Eleven Shopping Carnival . Categories participating in the promotion include toys, baby products , beauty , home , electronics and groceries . The event will last from November 11 to November 29, 2021 .

 

According to a spokesperson for Amazon Singapore , the company hopes to stimulate user consumption through this event and will vigorously promote the event through digital and social channels as well as outdoor advertising and radio .

 

The spokesperson said that self-operated and paid channels are an important part of its marketing and communication strategy for the shopping season , which will start on 11.11 and last until Black Friday, which is its biggest marketing event of the year.

 

The spokesperson also added that social media influencers will be an important part of its marketing to reach its target audience more effectively . In this campaign, the influencers it selected come from different age groups and ethnicities , reflecting the diversity of the user base in Singapore .

 

To celebrate its debut at the 11.11 Shopping Festival , Amazon has also lined up a comedy show starring Sharul Channa and Rishi Budhrani . The show will premiere on November 11 and will feature the duo discussing topics such as married life during the pandemic , how Singaporeans shop in the past and present, and what users think of Amazon.sg ’s local features .

 

An Amazon spokesperson said the campaign reflects its commitment to supporting locals in its marketing efforts. The platform hopes that shoppers in Singapore can spend less, save more, and support locals, helping users enjoy the best shopping and entertainment in the safety and comfort of their homes .

 

It is understood that Amazon recently launched a new three-story office in Asia Square, Singapore . The office is named SIN16 and will accommodate more than 700 employees from more than 30 teams. Amazon said that the new office was established to meet its growing business, operations and investment needs in the Singapore market to optimize the employee working environment and team collaboration .

 

In addition , Amazon Singapore also announced plans to add more than 200 new jobs to its consumer and functional departments by 2022 to expand its business scope in Singapore and provide more support for local businesses to go global.
