One syringe manufacturer said that the price of its syringes has increased by half compared to the past, and the company's order reservation phone has been flooded with calls. Another listed company said that the price of its syringes has increased by 2 times compared to the past.

Faced with such a huge demand and considerable prices, many listed companies are also planning to expand their production capacity. However, the production of prefilled syringes is difficult, and it is not easy to expand production. As the world enters the climax of the new crown vaccination , countries have begun to expand their syringe inventories , and the demand for prefilled syringes has also skyrocketed.

However, it is understood that almost all the relevant materials and equipment for prefilled syringes need to be imported, and the procurement cycle is basically 18-32 months , which has become the biggest obstacle to its production expansion .
