On Tik Tok, there is a hashtag #RamadanVibes that showcases some of the Ramadan traditions, including fawazeer, sitcoms, dramas and recipes.
“Last year, we saw people embrace the spirit of Ramadan on Tik Tok and come together to celebrate,” said Rami Zeidan, head of video and creative at Tik Tok . “With our community unable to gather with family and friends due to COVID-19 restrictions, Tik Tok became a platform for Ramadan traditions to continue.”
He added: “This year we will build on those traditions and provide a space for celebration, gratitude and entertainment for our creators.”
