According to the latest data, the number of Chinese sellers on the Amazon platform accounts for about 40%. Although it has declined from the previous high point, China's small and medium-sized sellers are still an indispensable group on the platform.
It is with this in mind that Amazon recently issued an announcement specifically for Chinese sellers, aiming to help the majority of Chinese sellers better conduct their business on the platform.
Recently, Amazon announced that it can provide more accurate logistics tracking services for FBA shipments of Chinese sellers, and pointed out in the title that this service is specifically for Chinese sellers. In the announcement, Amazon stated that starting from August 21, 2023, Chinese FBA sellers who do not use official cooperative carriers can consider choosing carriers participating in the ShipTrack program. These carriers will automatically update point-to-point logistics tracking information in the seller center.
According to Amazon, carriers that join the ShipTrack program are third-party providers that have been vetted by the platform and can provide accurate and reliable logistics tracking information.
Additionally, using a ShipTrack carrier can help Amazon better predict when your shipment will arrive at a fulfillment center, which can generate a more accurate estimated delivery date for consumers.
For sellers, more accurate shipment logistics information can also help them make better decisions on when to replenish stocks and reduce the risk of inventory backlogs and product out-of-stocks.
On the other hand, since these carriers all cooperate with Amazon, the relevant shipment information will be automatically synchronized to Amazon, and sellers can check it directly in their accounts with one click, which is very convenient.
It can be seen that Amazon's purpose in listing the various advantages of ShipTrack carriers is to attract more Chinese sellers to use its officially recommended carriers, so that the platform can have another source of income in addition to commissions and advertising fees.
However, although Amazon said it well, the sellers did not seem to appreciate it. Under this announcement, no sellers gave it a "like", but chose to "dislike".
This result is actually not difficult to understand. After all, the living environment of Amazon sellers is very bad now, and various costs are soaring. Now that relatively higher-priced carriers are recommended, sellers will definitely have some complaints in their hearts. Amazon FBA Seller |
