A powerful alliance! Amazon conducts live broadcasts on TikTok to help sellers boost sales

In March this year , TikTok said that it had more than 150 million users in the United States. Although Tiktok has been frequently restricted in the United States, its influence in the United States has obviously not been affected at present, and Amazon is also aware of this.

According to Marketing Dive, in order to expand the promotion of Prime Day this year, Amazon has set its sights on live streaming, which is becoming increasingly popular.

Amazon held a live broadcast on TikTok's channel from 7 to 9 p.m. on July 11. The live broadcast was called "Duel for Deals" and was jointly planned with content producer Tool. The live broadcast combined products with games, and some influential TikTokers played a series of games. The audience cooperated in the live broadcast to unlock specific product discounts.

Amazon hopes to use this creative cross-platform promotion method to allow consumers to interact more with the brand and purchase the products they need without leaving the TikTok application.

TikTok has now become an important medium for marketers to reach young consumer groups. According to research, 43% of American Generation Z use TikTok to search for products. 75% of marketers expect to invest more in promotions on this platform next year.

Through this live broadcast on TikTok, Amazon was able to not only increase consumer engagement on social platforms during Prime Day and increase exposure to related topics, but also allow consumers to interact with both platforms at the same time.

It is reported that the TikTokers participating in the live broadcast include Symone, Jason Rodelo, Jake Shane, @RicoTaquito, Bigfoot Bae, Leenda Dong, @Aliyah'sInterlud, etc. Adriana Cruz, director of "Tools", participated in the guidance of the live broadcast. He previously worked on "Saturday Night Live".

According to analysts at Bank of America, Amazon is expected to sell $12 billion worth of goods during this Prime Day event, accounting for 7.4% of the third quarter's total merchandise sales (GMV). In addition, analysts also believe that this year's Prime Day sales will increase by 10% year-on-year.
