Kohler's History

In 1873, the United States was shrouded in the shadow of economic depression. At that time, John Michael Kohler, a 29-year-old Austrian immigrant, founded Kohler Company in Wisconsin and bravely challenged the depressed market with an investment of 5,000 US dollars. In the first ten years of the company's establishment, Kohler Company was just a family-run factory that produced farm tool castings.

In 1883, John Kohler manufactured the first Kohler bathtub. Since then, Kohler Company has entered the bathroom manufacturing industry, and the Kohler legend has begun.

In 1911, Kohler developed the integrally cast enamel bathtub, washbasin and kitchen sink;

In 1927, Kohler developed colored enamel bathroom products;

In 1929, Kohler products were selected for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the design of Kohler products became more and more artistic.

Today, 140 years later, Kohler has become one of the most familiar bathroom brands in the world. Kohler currently has more than 50 factories around the world, mainly producing Kohler bathtubs, washbasins, toilets, faucets and other bathroom products as well as engines and generators.
