On May 10th, the 20th anniversary of Taobao , the newly formed Taobao Group made its first public appearance and held the 2023 Taobao Tmall 618 Merchant Conference at the same time , announcing new changes to this year's Tmall 618 .

 

Against the backdrop of consumption recovery, Tmall and merchants have put in their best efforts. It is reported that the number of merchants and products participating in Tmall 618 this year has reached a new high . It is estimated that 60 million products will be discounted, 3 million new products will be launched on 618 , and the number of participating merchants will reach 1.45 million , making it the most promising 618 main venue for brand merchants .


 


This year, Tmall 618 will gather more new supplies . Tmall will build a "Global Top Products Club" with global brands to create a sales platform for legendary shoes, top fashion brands, top designer collaborations and other limited and scarce products with global influence. Tmall will provide brands with one-stop services for interaction, content, and sales, and provide commission-free incentives for top products. It is reported that 300 global scarce top products have been gathered and will be sold during Tmall 618.

 

While gathering the best products from around the world, Tmall 618 this year also focuses on good prices. During the 618 period, in addition to a 50% discount for purchases over 300 , the Juhuasuan direct discount event was launched for the first time, with all products directly reduced by 20% and consumers can enjoy discounts without placing orders for just one item. At the same time, Taobao's 10 billion subsidy activity has been intensified, with price comparisons available across the entire network and compensation for overpriced purchases . In addition, a price guarantee active notification service was launched during the pre-sale period to provide consumers with the most enjoyable consumption experience .

 

In terms of services, during this year's Tmall 618, merchants who order door-to-door delivery services will receive full subsidies from the platform to jointly improve the consumer experience. In addition, Tmall continues to increase its support for merchants to reduce operating costs. During the 618 event, new merchants entering the warehouse will be exempted from 3 months of warehouse rent. At the same time, it provides Cainiao Direct Delivery (Danniao) with a discount of up to 30%, a 10 billion credit loan fund pool, and extremely fast payment services.

 

Liu Peng, President of Taotian Group's Brand Business Development Center, said that Tmall 6.18 is a carnival for consumers and a harvest season for merchants. The platform will work with global brands to bring consumers the latest and hottest products at good prices, and at the same time invest the greatest resources to bring large-scale users and transactions to brands, making friends with users in time, teammates with brands in growth, and partners with the ecosystem for win-win results.
