EPR stands for Extended Producer's Responsibility. In the EU, the collection and recycling of most post-consumer waste is managed through the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system. Producers must ensure the management responsibility and obligations of the waste generated by their products at the end of their service life by paying an "ecological contribution" fee.

EPR Product Registration Classification

The following are product categories that fall within the scope of the [France and Germany] Extended Producer Responsibility obligations and for which you will need to provide Amazon with your Extended Producer Responsibility registration number.

Germany’s Battery Obligations: If you sell electrical and electronic equipment that contains batteries, you must register for both the Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Batteries categories. Currently, Amazon only requires the Electrical and Electronic Equipment registration number.
